Lastly, I want to announce the date of the next fundraiser for Habitat for Horses!
Habitat for Horses is the great organization dedicated to rescuing abused, starving, and abandoned horses. After Habitat for Horses rescues these horses they adopt out those that are able to be rehabilitated. It’s a wonderful organization and one that was introduced to me by interior designer Ginger Barber who is very active in the organization. Ginger’s life was turned around when she discovered Habitat for Horses and every bit of time in her life is dedicated to working there and helping to raise vital funds to keep it going.
This fundraising event will be held November 7th at 6pm until 10 pm at AREA, located at 3735 Westheimer. There will be BBQ, beer and wine, along with a concert by Shake Russell and Michael Hearne’s band! The event will showcase the debut of the book The Horse at Home, along with photographs by the great Skeeter Hagler and Kathy Oliver.
The event promises to be a great time and lots of fun, but more importantly, it’s for an important cause.

I’ve been enamored of elegant Venetian mirrors for quite some time, which I find to be lovely conversational pieces. I look at how this Palazzo Mirror would fit in my life: I could create a pretty vanity area in my apartment bedroom. It would be there prior to daily events: a trip to the grocery store, an interview, a presentation, a flight, a date. The before, that last glance in the mirror, is a shared experience among us all.

I have been wanting a vintage french round cutting board but looking at this provencial board I would have to say this truly would be my favorite thing! It's beautiful and functional! My second choice would be either the slate board or fruit stand. I am imagining white coconut cupcakes on it! Thank you for the chance~

ReplyDeleteYikes, there are too many things I would love from the LoveFeast Shop. I new place to visit often, thank you, and for the very nice giveaway! Oh to pick a favorite .. I actually really love the Provencal Platter. I would love to use it daily and especially for serving a warm crusty loaf of bread and some fresh butter or wonderful cheese and fruit with company. I imagine the patina with use over time would really make it a treasure. If I have to pick something other than that I would like the Fiddle Bow Knife! A nice complement to the Platter! And since I've never been able to pick just one :) I love the pearls strung on leather. I have lots of their pumpkins in different colors or I would have had to pick them and I love the velvet acorns .. something else for my wish list.

Love the pearl and leather necklace, and the cute little velvet acorns a favorite...thinking about adding the silk velvet silver blue pillow to my couch as I have been remodeling and changing the colors to cream and robin egg blue. What a great giveaway to get the fall celebration rolling! We Texans and Louisianians need all the help we can get in the fall department. IThe Provencial boards make a stunning statement, but I love the sentiment and simplicity of the "All you need is love, Love is all you need" antiqued wooden sign. Words to live by.
